Jacob Lane is a composer, pianist, educator, and audio engineer who lives in Sacramento, CA. He is the collaborative pianist for The Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis and The Orpheus-West Chamber Choir. Jacob has additionally performed with the Empyrean Ensemble and is a founding member of Sleight Ensemble.
A member of The Music Teachers’ Association of California, Jacob teaches piano lessons at New World Music Academy. He is an Adjunct Faculty Member at American River College, and has also taught courses California State University, Sacramento and the University of California, Davis.
Jacob holds degrees in music performance from Mills College and Johnson State College (now part of Northern Vermont University), as well as a PhD in music theory and composition from The University of California, Davis.
